My first long trail! It was a little bit scary before to start because the organizer required to have many equipment for the race: whistle, emergency blanket, health insurance card, GPS device, etc.. My first time that I had to run with a headlamp too!
About the race, I was most of the time with 4-5 people (including 3 good girls) and it was so funny because I was faster than them on the climbs, but a lot of slower than them in the downhill so I crossed these people around 10/ 15 times. I didn't hike for at least one year so in the downhill, I was too scared... I could not run, but everyone else was so fast! After one and half hour, I've "unplugged" my brain and I was better in this part. I've twisted my ankles two times, but hopefully, no injuries. The floor was dry so it was a great thing for me due to my inexperience. People were very nice and I've met a lot of people during the trail. A lot of Japanese joined the race too. They are very strong for long distance. To finish, I think this type of race may suit me, but a training on unstable floors is essential.
